Fr. Frank's Homily - The Baptism of our Lord

In our Liturgical Calendar, the baptism of Jesus is both the end of Christmas season and beginning of ordinary time. It moves us abruptly from the birth of Jesus into his active ministry as an adult.

Fr. Frank was born and raised in Toronto in a lively household with six siblings. In university, he double majored in Economics and Math. One summer after working with high school youth that had multiple handicaps or were developmentally delayed and were happier than he was, he realized he needed to change the trajectory of his life. He enrolled in a variety of Christianity and Culture courses at St. Michael's College at UofT which fed his deep hunger for Christ and His Church. Upon graduating, he started working for the federal government in the area of bankruptcy regulation. He enjoyed it, but something was still missing. After much prayer, reflection, and discernment, he decided to enter St. Augustine's Seminary. In May of 2009, he was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Toronto. His first assignment was at St. Luke's Parish in Thornhill which he did happily for 2.5 years before being appointed to the Office of Catholic Youth.
